Finally, the Legislative Branch has begun to assert its Constitutional powers and obligations. Constitutional checks and balances among the three Branches of our Federal Government are designed specifically to prevent the aggrandizing of unchecked power by any single Branch, as the current President has been doing in appointing excessive, and unsavory, people to so-called czar positions of unrestrained power in the Executive Branch.
