Bush 43	2001-present	In response to the September 11 attacks, America initiated the war against international terrorism by overthrowing the Taliban regime in Afghanistan and the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq. There are more such regimes out there still, but it's a good start.
Clinton	1993-2001	America stopped the murderous "ethnic cleansing" wars in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Bush 41	1989-1993	America rescued Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, from Saddam Hussein's aggression, in Desert Storm.
Truman — Reagan	1945-1989	America rid the world of the Soviet menace with economic and military pressure (such as the "Star Wars" program), thereby liberating Eastern Europe in the aftermath of the Cold War.
Truman	1945-1953	America: (1) Saved hundreds of thousands of American and Japanese lives with Little Boy and Fat Man. (2) Rebuilt war-torn Europe with the Marshall Plan.
Roosevelt & Truman	1933-1945	(1) Together with Russia and Britain, America liberated Europe from Nazi Germany. (2) Liberated Asia and the Pacific from Imperial Japan.
Wilson	1913-1921	America rescued Europe from itself in The Great War.
Lincoln	1861-1865	America insured “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”.
Washington; Adams; Jefferson; Madison	1789-1817	America invented and established a Democratic Republic to which the rest of the world aspires.
