Now it’s yet more confusing as he is asked to defend the West against a deeply disturbed ideology that wants to engulf it. Talk about something difficult to explain on The View. Here it is in a nutshell: The Leftist worldview boils down to the perverted concept that Western enlightenment, which has enabled the almost ubiquitous availability of personal pursuit of happiness, is responsible for the evil outpouring of hatred and destruction in the unenlightened portions of the world. Whereas, it was the suppression of any improvement in the lot of individuals by the corrosive mindset of theocratic despotism from which Western enlightenment had sprung.
When Obama appears on The View or on Letterman, he visually and verbally demonstrates the incredible stupidity that underpins the Leftist worldview. Nevermind the innumerable contributing factors that obscure the kernel at the heart of our society's great divide: free phones; free lunch; free stuff; tax the rich; support illegals; open borders; closed minds; and on and on ad nauseam. The crux of the matter is that those who support Obama have the arrow of causality reversed. It is the backwardness from time immemorial that spawned Western enlightenment, not the reverse. Today's murderous hatefulness of Islamist ideology is based on envy, the deadliest of the seven deadly sins.
