As my blog's followers have no doubt noted, I greatly admire Thomas Sowell, the African-American scholar. I frequently excerpt his articles, so as to add authoritative support to my own views, which frequently coincide with his. And, indeed, I concur with the views he expresses in the above excerpted article — as far as they go.
I myself, however, would go further in this instance. I believe Obama's ideology includes everything Dr. Sowell ascribes to him, as well as a bigotry that Dr. Sowell does not specify, namely Jew-hatred. Of course, bigotry of any stripe is most easily detected by its sensitized targets, whose scrutiny is, moreover, highly individualized and leads to a condemnation that is ultimately unprovable. Nevertheless, having experienced Nazi-inspired Jew-hatred first hand, I am particularly sensitive to its look-and-feel and its disgusting odor.
I concur that the "fate of the United States" depends on our ability to arrest Obama's runaway train-wreck. But I fear his designs for Israel's demise may be beyond our control. I am sickened by the accelerating strangulation of this brave little country, Israel, surrounded and hounded by rabid homicidal forces, enabled by the many traditional Jew-hating powers in Europe, and the evil intentions of a despicable dementia in our own administration.
