Vandals Keep Changing Letter 'L'
The unfortunately named English village of Lunt, a name that has been around since the 13th century, is just now waking up to the startling discovery that the name of the village is a mere single letter away from arguably the most offensive word in the English language, as well as Shakespeare's favorite target for anatomical puns. The unmodified name itself is a derogatory word for "lesbian". Even the relatively tame variant "aunt" has its derogatory Urban Dictionary definition, a result of trying to type the 'c' word using predictive text on a mobile phone.
Lunt's graffiti problem, however, has an obvious solution, one that would put the village on the map, so to speak, not to mention the advantage of a concomitant quantum jump in tourism. Profitable spinoffs appear to be endless.
