As an old punchline has it, "Can't live with 'em; can't kill 'em".In a recent chat with a colleague at the local coffee shop, my friend suggested a brilliant capitalistic solution to a nagging homeland security issue — how best to deal with our homegrown malcontents. To wit:
“A solution to many of our internal security problems is to offer $50k, and a one-way first-class ticket to any other country in the world, to any American in return for their citizenship.”What could be simpler or, for that matter cheaper, in the long run? Money talks; nobody walks; a bargain at twice the price.
It's win-win.
