“What’s the likely outcome of the government shutdown fight? Well, in my libertarian fantasy world, we leave it closed. Or at least we never bother to reopen counterproductive bureaucracies such as the Department of Education, Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Commerce, Department of Transportation, etc, etc.”

Can the federal system be fixed? I certainly hope so.

Can this administration be saved?" I fervently hope not.

Why would anyone want to save an administration that, in my opinion, is worse than useless? This administration is malevalent.

And since this Democrat Senate is controlled by the execrable Harry Reed, who is in thrall to this President, the latter can not be convicted in any impeachment proceedings.

So the next best outcome is federal gridlock. What's not to like?

I welcome surceace from obnoxious and incessant political machinations. May the federal shutdown last until the next Presidential election. Amen.
