America is the last best hope for humanity, NOT insanity! Fortunately, we are a nation of laws that stem from that crown jewel of jurisprudence — the United States Constitution, with its fundamental concept of Checks and Balances among the Branches of our tripartite government: Executive; Legislative; and Judicial. At this momentous juncture of our history, the Judicial Branch is the only one of the three that is not completely bonkers.
I propose that the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) rule the last General Election to have been Unconstitutional, by virtue of the Constitutional requirement that the President must be a natural born citizen of the United States. Immediately thereafter, the SCOTUS should declare martial law and the Chief Justice should assume the duties of Acting Chief Executive and Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, until such time that a fresh and Constitutionally valid General Election can be held. The only proviso of the do-over General Election would be that all those currently holding positions of leadership, whose Executive and Congressional positions would be subject to (re-)election, would be disqualified from candidacy in the fresh General Election.
Perilous times require bold action. It is time for our most passive Branch to take action to save the Nation, and the hapless rest of the world.
