Begging — with Attitude!

{link » Auto Workers Union Rules Out Concessions To Help Detroit Bailout}
Ron Goldfinger, the union president, said at the weekend that “the focus has to be on the economy as a whole as opposed to a UAW contract”.

“We're here not because of what the auto industry has done”, Mr. Middlefinger said during a rare press conference. “We're here because of what has happened to the economy”.

Well, you could knock me over with featherbedding! I could have sworn they were "here" in D.C. begging for a bailout. But what do I know ...

Back in the day, we all knew that "Beggars can't be choosers!". Must be a change thing. Only, we're not talking small change; not exactly. What unmitigated gall!
