How odd that all those boring lessons from our grandparents turn out to be true in the globalized, hip 21st century: Save your money. Don't borrow what you can't pay back. Look first at a man's character, not his degrees. I mentioned my objections to an Obama Presidency and his response was basically, "But Obama is a Harvard graduate, and McCain's choice of Palin as running mate reflects poorly on his judgment". At that point I assured him that his views would not impact my personal affection for him and begged off from further discussion of my "shocking" political point of view.
