Begging the Questions

There's this TV ad showing a guy at his computer (presumably in the U. S.) with a SEG on his face who exclaims, "I just made a stock trade in Hong Kong! That's China!" Well, duh?!
  1. Is there a 5th grader in the U. S., or in China for that matter, who doesn't know that the internet is an international network?
  2. Should this moron (the character; hopefully, not the actor) be allowed to make any financial decisions?
  3. Did the creative (I use the term advisedly) director of this commercial graduate from middle school?
I'm just sayin'.
