Read related » US security guarantees for Israel worthless when Turkey controls missile shield
[This related article is recommended in its entirety.]
“By bowing to Ankara's demand to omit Iran, Syria and their ballistic missiles as a threat from the NATO agreement to establish a missile shield base in Turkey, President Barak Obama has devalued any US security guarantees offered Israel - as well as negating the facility's avowed purpose. The missile shield and its location in Europe were conceived in the first place for detecting and defusing Iranian and Syrian ballistic missiles before they reached Europe or the United States. "For the first time we've agreed to develop a missile defense capability that is strong enough to cover all Nato European territory and populations as well as the United States," Obama declared Friday, Nov. 19, at the NATO summit in Lisbon. The US president did not say against whom or what. Neither did he reveal the full scope of US and NATO's surrender to Turkey.”

Here's a new parlor-game steeped in gallows humor: "Guess The Obama's Game Plan!" At a friendly gathering of friends and acquaintances, someone reads a recent news story about The Obama's international doings, and everyone tries to figure out what He is trying to accomplish. Whoever comes up with a plausible explanation for what at first blush appears to be completely pointless from the standpoint of American interests wins the game.
I can't figure out if we are witnessing a reenactment of "The Obamperor's New Clothes" or "The New Saga of an Empty Suit". Despite frantic assurances of The Obama's brilliance, from the likes of Valerie Jarrett and Joe "BFD" Biden, I can not for the life of me discern whether This Obamperor knows how to organize a community, let alone a meaningful agreement among member-nations of the NATO alliance.
Another day, another atrocity in the making for our Dunce-in-Chief. What a revolting development.
