“Whatever the ultimate outcome of the case against George Zimmerman for his shooting of Trayvon Martin, what has happened already is enough to turn the stomach of anyone who believes in either truth or justice. An amazing proportion of the media has given us a painful demonstration of the thinking -- and lack of thinking -- that prevailed back in the days of the old Jim Crow South, where complexion counted more than facts in determining how people were treated. […] Why was that reply edited out by so many in the media? Because too many people in the media see their role as filtering and slanting the news to fit their own vision of the world. […] Author Harry Stein, a self-described "reformed white liberal," raised by parents who were even further left, exposes the illogic and outright fraudulence that lies behind so much of what is said about race in the media, in politics and in our educational institutions. He asks a very fundamental question: "Why, even after the Duke University rape fiasco, does the media continue to give credence to every charge of racism?" […] Winston Churchill said, "If the past sits in judgment on the present, the future will be lost." He wasn't talking about racial issues, but what he said applies especially where race is involved.” [emphasis added]
— Thomas Sowell, Apr 24, 2012 (

As usual, Thomas Sowell, an American, provides a welcome voice of reason in our increasingly unreasonable and polarized society. I urge you to read his entire article, which I have only excerpted above.

This year's Presidential Election is, in my view, the most critical in the past century and a half. The Election of 1864 enabled our Great Uniter to complete his mission of preserving the Union. This year we must consider whether or not we will allow our Divider-in-Chief to complete his mission of destroying what Lincoln preserved.

It is my considered opinion that anyone who can not or will not see the great harm Obama has caused our Nation is: self-obsessed; and/or willfully obtuse; and/or perpetually perplexed; and/or racist; and/or a free-luncher; and/or a Leftist useful-idiot; some of the above; or all of the above.

For the love of Honest Abe and our grandchildren's future, wake up America! Think what you are doing this November.
