Brown attended Florida A&M University, from which she received a bachelor's in sociology and a master's degree in education, and the University of Florida, where she was awarded an educational specialist degree. She received a Communications/Speech degree from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, and has been on the faculty at the latter two schools and at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.

She has a degree in communications and speech?! WTF?!
