After JFK's assassination, a black stand-up comedian (I think it was Dick Gregory) had a memorable self-deprecating joke, to the effect that: if the American President chose a black man as Vice President, it would provide him a perfect life insurance policy!
Now, almost a half-century on, we have the beautiful irony that our first African-American President has the perfect double-indemnity policy, provided by his stupid white-man Vice President, and the f*cking-idiot white-woman Speaker of the House.
